Route 11 follows a mixture of on-road and traffic-free routes. For some stretches you cycle alongside the River Cam. There is also a lovely stretch of traffic-free cycling along the Fen Rivers Way between Barway and Ely.
The Fens is a great place for a cycling trip. It is a remarkably flat, mostly agricultural area located between the cathedral city of Peterborough and the university town of Cambridge. You can travel on Route 11 to the interesting university city of Cambridge, where there are plenty of sights to enjoy. The Fens is renowned for its wildlife and extensive network of rivers.
