At only 7.6 miles long, this gently undulating route primarily along a shared cycle/pedestrian way is perfect for families and novices.
Starting from Morpeth it travels through a picturesque part of Northumberland. There is only one short, steep hill about 1 mile from Morpeth.
Passing through the village of Ashington, this route intersects with National Route 1 at the eastern end of the Queen Elizabeth II Park.
