Armagh City (Route 91)

Armagh is the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, with two St Patrick’s Cathedrals, one Church of Ireland, the other Roman Catholic. It is renowned for its wealth of Georgian architecture.

Route 91 of the National Cycle Network has been reclassified so that it now only includes sections around Armagh and Enniskillen.

Route 91 begins off the Markethill Road, near Ardmore Recreation Centre. It then runs through Folly Glen. You can continue the route out of the Glen park on to Barrick Hill but note this is not classified as NCN.

You can continue past Armagh Gaol and through the town centre.

There is a short section of NCN 91 passing the Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre.

Head along Windmill Hill and at Callan Bridge you will rejoin NCN Route 91 which runs along the Callan River. This section finishes at the junction of Killylea Road and the Ballycrummy Road.
