This route offers just over three miles of traffic-free walking, cycling and wheeling.
Beginning at Greypoint, Helen’s Bay, the route follows the beautiful north Down coastal path, passing through Crawfordsburn Beach, Stricklands Glen and Smelt Mill Bay - any of which make a scenic stop-off point.
There are toilet and changing facilities at the car park in Helen's Bay.
The route comes to an end at Bangor’s Pickie Funpark.
From where you can enjoy one of the many cafes and eateries in the city centre or continue your journey on round the coast to Kingsland (not traffic-free).

This route is well-served with access by train to Helen's Bay or Bangor. Check Translink timetables for information.
Ulsterbus also runs regular service from Bangor to Belfast and other parts of County Down.
